*Fordite is the many colored layers of automotive paint left after each round of painting in the booth. It is not necessarily from Ford specifically. It is scraped off the booth, often in uneven and broken up chunks, and usually discarded. However, every so often someone will save some of the leftover chunks for art or other display.
